Two posts in one day!!

I meant to combine these but I did the first post on my Blackberry and the pic I wanted to post is on my laptop. So here we are.

I finished another knitting project last week, it only took me 2 1/2 years to do!! My excuse is that it is black and, for all you non-knitters out there, black is a bitch to knit with because you can’t see what you are doing. So here it is. Oh and I have since cleaned my mirror!!!!

weigh in

Thanks to one thing and another I’ve got lax about posting here. Anyway, my weigh ins for the last fortnight are:

Last week: 4lbs lost (yay, just about the only benefit to flu!)

This week 1lbs lost (more than I thought as I hadn’t been too strict this week)

Onwards and upwards, as they say. I’m getting a bit fed up but if I keep going as I am I will have lost another half stone by Easter and I might even start fitting into some of clothes by then!

Today has been the longest Tuesday in the history of Tuesdays. Having abuse hurled at you for no reason doesn’t help matters either. If I wasn’t on such a short coping fuse I would have addressed the lack of manners but it shook me up more than usual so I just ran away instead. Not literally running, I hasten to add, just a smart walk in the opposite direction.

Considering I was not worrying too much about the diet I haven’t done at all badly. I did buy some Aquaban pills which I think have helped, I feel less bloated anyway and my stomach feels flatter. I shall see when I step onto the scales this weekend.

After hearing the other day about a very dear friend who had passed away I heard yesterday that a friend of my parents also passed away earlier this week. I knew Mr. P since I was a little girl and he was the kindest and gentlest of men, I was very sad to hear of his passing but I am grateful that he will no longer be in pain or misery as he had a long standing cancer. I know people say things come in threes but I hope that this is one thing that won’t come in threes. I don’t want to hear of anybody else’s death – ever would be nice but not realistic.  Not for a very long time sounds more like it.

On a bright note I have organised my niece’s birthday present. She isn’t two (two years old? How did that happen?) until the end of April but I was browsing the Argos catalogue this morning in a very boring class and saw the Timmy Time train at £19.99 then browsing the website for something utterly different I looked it up and found it was currently in the sale at £9.99. I clicked on reserve as quick as quick and go to pick it up tomorrow. If I get much more organised I think the world might stop turning, lol!!!
